Pizza!!!!

We have been eating a lot of pizza. I'm sure that it is different than the pizza you are thinking about. We have had mini pizzas, pizza casserole, and flat bread pizza. The best part is my 5 year old loves to help make it. When making the mini pizzas he helped put the English muffins on the tray. I put the sauce on them. and the cheese. he then put the peperoni on them. once they were in the oven he helped count down until they were done and watched them cook. He loved when it was time to eat them. he made one for everyone and told us what one we could eat.

As for pizza casserole I was a little more on my own. Cooking meat and noodles was a little to much for my son to do. How ever he did like watching me cut up the vegetables and help me mix everything together. Oh don't forget about counting down the timer. and telling every one that it was dinner time.

Flat bread pizzas are just like the little pizzas. helping with the toppings and watching them cook. I think at one point we even had a pizza wrap.

Cooking can be so much fun with little ones. You just have to find ways to make it fun. Little things like watching the timer count down and watching things cook in the oven. We don't think that watching something change in a oven can be so cool. But to a little boy that is something that they have not seen before. So please find something cool in the kitchen to do with your kids.

Its getting cold!

The weather is changing and its not getting warmer. Well unless you are in the south!!! So I'm sure that we all love to come home to a nice warm meal. The best thing in the kitchen right now is a crock pot! really it is. Chicken noodle soup is so easy to do in the crock pot. and who doesn't love coming home to a nice hot bowl of soup. just brown the chicken and throw in some vegetables. and let it cook all day. even the kids will love it. There are so many kinds of soup that you can make in a crock pot. If you not a soup fan don't worry, you can still come home to a meal ready for you. like barbecue beef or pork. If you are a deer fan you can even throw the deer meat in the crock pot and let it cook. don't forget to add water. What is your favorite cold weather meal?
